I am self-taught and still learning finding inspiration through nature using earth tones quite often. I've been making some kind of art throughout my entire life. A lot of me goes into every piece of art I work on. Nurturing my art allows the art to nurture me. I'm proud of my work and would love everyone to find the same peace and joy felt when creating.

A little history about my mosaic life: Mosaics found me in 2005 when I broke a beloved dish belonging to a set owned by my Grandmother handed down to me after she passed away. I searched online to see what I could do with a broken dish and found mosaics. It's been a wonderful journey. I'm beginning to condense the time spent in mosaic making because my 70 year old hands need the break from the tools involved in creating them. When I create mosaics I mostly use hand cut stained glass and crockery. Sometimes broken jewelry and found objects make their way into my work. The colors of fall are my favorite to use when I mosaic with stained glass.

I’m a mixed media artist by nature; dabbling in many different art forms. Here are a few examples:

I love to draw doodles in black ink. I often use alcohol ink markers to fill in around the drawn doodle, brush markers, colored pencils as well. I have a love for art/junk journals and have started making many of my own. Taking magazine pages and cutting them out on double sided sticky paper can be an all-day fun fest, adding collage papers, lace, cut-outs from this and that all go in them.

When I started my first junk journal, I took a book apart, painted some pages with watercolor and rebuilt the book. It's over 70 pages long. In it, I’ve added lace, old photos, even a coin purse to it so far. Lots of doodle art, bought stickers, my own handmade stickers, ink stamping as well all go in it. I'm only limited by my imagination.

I’ve learned to make collage papers using acrylics and watercolor, taking a free class offered by a truly gifted collage artist in January 2025. I’m using these collage papers and my doodles to create collages almost daily. You can find photography, collage and doodle art of mine on Fine Art America (the link is available in the section referenced above).

May you always enjoy your journey,
